But Ben Smith has been playing his guts out, and has been a machinnnne!

most definitely. we missed his defence when he was out injured. just hits hard and often is the last line and has really got his handling skills up which was causing some grief end of last year and earlier this season!

He is a champ, brings so much to the team and doesn't get mentioned that often so I think he definitely makes a difference to our teams prospects at winning. GO THE SMOUTCH

Smith is a highly underrated player for us, when he is out injured we are far less capable unit.

  SMITH is very important cog in this machine. He ' spot ' defends better than anyone in this team. Watch him harrass opposition playmakers all game. He may not be that potent in attack but defensively he is very good. I agree BUZZ - he is very important for us..... and is playing great......

I said earlier this year that our forwards had to step up to get hayne the room to do his magic, (Fui in particular, but Smith will do!!) The results... Hayne Magic!!

My most improved player award this year. He is one of those defensive players that the opposition try to avoid when attacking.
Just watch how many times he rolls players on their backs when he has made a tackle.
