Ben Rogers axed another one gone

Hearing from my good friend Avenger from League unlimited, who always has the good goss,  that the great Ben Rogers was let go last week.   One half of the dynamic duo in Rodgers + O'neill,  and the three stooges including Sarantinos.

Goodbye Ben .  He's finished

Mon -  i can't see him being here much longer.  He's the last of the Monicans.

  • About f***ing time

    • Yep hes absolutely finished.   Some big things happening

    • 100% now MON....Danny Williams style lol.....

      very nice.....

  • Hey MON could still survive. I mean all of a sudden since getting Rush on board all the extensions and signings seem to be happening, with more still to come. If we get Best and MON is here maybe there were other things holding him back?

He will be given half of 2027 i reckon to prove his worth. But missing Best and possibly another prospect will hurt his chances more.

    • Fair assessment LB. For all we know MON was handicapped in his ability to get things over the line. I personally dont believe that to be the case, but both scenarios can be true at the same time.

I think if there is to be movement for MON, the earliest would be magic round

      • A GM who can't get things over the line is a failure of a GM - at that level of seniority there's no excuses. Perform or perish.

Let's start a betting market. I have MON going before end of Jan.

        • I agree Cap. He's hasnt been a success. He may have talked himself into a stay of execution as it were by making heads roll beneath him as a final chance.

Its all unconfirmed at this point, but the sooner that blight is gone, the better

    • Rush doesn't need to collect data on MON, he has the best part of a decades worth of it sitting right in front of him and if tracking it on a trend line it isn't great reading.

We've had the CEO and now the Head of Recruitment go...there's the two pieces of hierarchical bread in a MON sandwich. It may not happen immediately as we'd need a replacement ready to roll, but there is no doubt in my mind that MON goes.

I think as soon as Rush can find a suitable replacement or decides on a restructure (by the end of January at the latest) we'll see MON "decide it's time for a change" and leave "on his own terms". 😉

      • I think he'll be gone once the Nov signing rush (pardon the pun) is over.

      • Who's to say Ryles likes MON? He could vouch for him for  all we know. Thats all I'm saying.

"To be honest, Best would only be coming for 2028. If he doesn't sign we have time to find someone else. The critical thing is who are our outside backs for 2027?"
