BARRETT TO SIGN CONTRACT WITH EELS ON WEDNESDAY!!!!

PARRAMATTA remain confident of securing the signature of NSW Origin skipper Trent Barrett.

It would leave the Sharks in total disarray with a skipper who doesn't want to be there next season, a star winger who wants out, a coach who won't be there and still no appointment as CEO. Despite denials this week, the Eels have been secretly talking to Barrett's agent Wayne Beavis for several weeks. They are hopeful he will sign a contract by Wednesday to play the final season of his career in a blue and gold jersey.

To tell you the truth I wouldn't mind parra signing Barrett even though I have bagged him. He's not that bad and I remember in the 2005 Grand Final Qualifier he was the only decent player in a struggling Dragons team against the Tigers.

He has already signed but he hasn't told the Sharks yet that's why he hasn't come out and said it. This is what i've heard they are only rumours so I don't know how true they actually are

apparently trent barrett is telling cronulla he is retiring however Parramatta are confident of signing him. reading phil rothfield's blog on cronulla today. very intriguing. wonder how cronulla will react if he signs with parra
