That's what the runners are doing all the time, relaying coach's messages.
It happens quite regularly. It comes with the job of being coach & captain. When the coach sends a message down and the captain makes a different call the coach wants answers. No one was in the wrong. BA would’ve just wanted answers as to why Gutho felt going for goal against 12 men being up by 14 was better then attacking the line.
