This is following on from a recent blog 60s wrote. I thought I would throw in some statistics which show some aspects of our game that definitely need to improve if Parra ever want to challenge for the finals. These parts of our game just highlight how poor we are and need to be addressed urgently by BA. These rankings show how we compare with the 16 NRL teams. The most worrying aspect is the last 3 figures were we are ranked nearly last.
Errors 239 9th
Completions 645 15th
Time in possession 48.3% 15th
Missed Tackles 662 12th

Glenn, theres no doubt we have to improve. However to compare all teams equally by stats alone is (I believe) not a true indication.
Have a look at the injuries to the bottom teams vs the top teams.
If through excessive injuries you have different combinations, have to bring in reserve graders ie inexperience. Invariably you will have more errors, poor completions and more missed tackles.
If you look at Sandow and Kelly who both mainly defended on the right side, you'll see a pattern of where opposition teams attacked and scored points.
I believe adding Foran, who is better defensively than both mentioned above, will automatically improve those stats.
We do have things to work on and it will be the hardest preseason ever ;) but I have confidence that with fewer injuries in key positions we will improve your stats and improve our position. If not, then decisions will have to be made.
