    • I agree mick, ba speaks around key moments in attack,  when our wide defense is of reserve grade standard

        • Mick it's a catch 22 situation,  the players love ba and will stay for less to play here, but ba has been too loyal to his assistants when the players need new ideas and strategies to improve their games. Our defensive flaws out wide proves it, and our attack is lacking new ideas.

BA has been very stubborn in keeping his assistants when there are very experienced assistants ready to come to the Eels.  He cannot continue this and expect to be resigned.

          • I agree Chief, but maybe BA appoints incompetent assistants for fear of them being smarter than him, and they could take his job, even though he has had 8 years to get it right.

    • I don't know what he was referring to in regards to 'key moments'. We got 28 points put on us vs Manly and 38 vs the Rabbitohs. We needed a lot more than just a few 'key moments'.
What about chasing the collision? What about the effort areas?

    • BA is right it is key moments that cost us.

The very moment Nuikore got suspended

The very moment BA renamed Waqa in the team

The very moment Waqa grabs at thin air.

The very moment the middle compresses

The very moment our centre dosnt slide

The very moment our centre cant understand the man out the back is coming around and is his man.

The very moment our winger races out of the line.

Yep key Moments... just too many of them in the last two games.

      • Bit meladromatic.

It's just a stock standard presser, it's not some bloke laying his life philosophies and shortcomings on the line on the Oprah show. All he's done is used a couple of throw away grabs such as "key moments" to fill out a shitty interview.

Moses' interview earlier in the week was exactly the same thing - a heap of fluff/bs to appease the media, he pretty much said exactly the same thing but no one's getting thier panties in a twist over what he had to say.

Why can't fans just settle the fuck down for 5 seconds and let things play out? This site has been full of nothing but hysterical shrill bullshit for days just because we've dropped a couple of games. People were calling for Fergo to get dropped then when he's punted the same knob jockeys are saying he's a scapegoat and it should have been Waqa. I'm assuming if Waqa hadda been axed he would have been a scapegoat too and it shoulda been Opa.

Three weeks ago every man and his dog was saying sack D Brown and now plenty are saying we MUST have him in the team to have any hope. WTF? Fickle anyone?

There is NO DOUBT that the club will punt BA if he doesn't meet thier lofty targets for this year so why not just let him get on with it, critique the team objectively, and give the constant wailing and gnashing of teeth a rest for a bit. After all, we're still 9 and 3 and might even be 10 and 3 in the next 24 hours.

TCT might be a massive suck fest but lately this place reminds me of a bunch of frustrated horny old moles whinging about anything and everything just for the sake of it. It's brutal.

        • TCT has been getting tougher on their coverage this season. Their weekly review show has been pretty similar to a lot of the blogs I've been reading here regarding defensive issues.

  • I no longer watch and BA interviews or Pressers because it just re-affirms my lack of long term confidence in the guy

      • He looked a beaten man at the presser last week. I couldn't watch it all.
