Coach Brad Arthur’s time at the Eels will come to an end, with the club expected to part ways with the coach immediately.

The decision comes after a 48-16 loss to the Melbourne Storm at Magic Round.

Arthur took over at the club as an interim coach in 2012. The high point of his tenure came when the Eels reached the 2022 grand final, a match they lost to Penrith 28-12.

Arthur will turn 50 on Tuesday.

More to come ...

Is it too late for Wayne Bennett?

    • Eli Stephens > Phillip May 20, 2024 at 5:08pm

I don't know if Wayne fits this group, he's gonna take off again in 2-3 years, need to take their time and pick someone who wants to build the club.

Though in his presser last night Wayne pretty much spoke about when he gets to Souths etc so not sure if we're too late.

At least 2-3 years like all the others after Smith...

Unlike you Adnan I support this club not the coach...
