Currently as I write the Cowboys are easily dealing with the Melbourne Storm and look set to give them a bit of a hiding. This is also without Kyle Feldt and JT who left in the 1st half with injury. The question remains are the Cowboys that Good? Are they the real deal and a genuine premiership contender? Todd Payten their coach wasn't that impressive with them last year so what has changed them around? In such a short time. Why haven't the Eels changed in a greater dimension in almost 9 years? The number 11 for the Cowboys would be great pick up for the Eels. He's agressive and tough and skillful.

This is the Cowboys 6th win on a row which is impressive in itself. You have to be able to string a few together if serious. Both my boys went to Eels game last night seperately and both said they need to improve to make a difference.
It's now Cowboys 36 and Storm 6. That's very impressive.
And that's without Taulmololo and Feldt, not bad.
Impressive. They have some strong, athletic and agressive players.
Good coaching. Payten set standards in his first year and continued consistently with those standards this year's. Plus he identified and fast tracked juniors. His game plans attack teams weaknesses. Will be interesting what happens against Penrith if both teams are at full strength.
I can't believe I'm writing this but the ref has been decidedly pro Cowboy. I've watched most Cows games and they have been getting the rub of the green. I know it's the Storm but fair dinkum tonight they have been dudded. Unfortunately one sided refereeing is becoming a feature of the NRL. And that is really concerning.
Have to agree that the refereeing in past few years has been terrible. Clearly the refs and bunker have made some questionable decisions that makes you wonder if there's some blatant corruption involved
John I agree to an extent that the cowboys are getting the calls but it's only because the ref is finally treating the storm like any other team.
We are just so used to them getting away with murder that it just seems they aren't getting the rub of the green
It's about bloody time
would you say we received the rub of the green last night? Of course we did - the cows are well coached and have kept both the eels and storm to single digits. I like watching the cowboys brand of footy it's super impressive,Payten has turned around the cows really quickly
It's like the NRL want a team from each state/town in the top 4? Melb, Bris, NQ, Penrith?
