Does anyone else feel like a win/loss this weekend will dictate our season.
Personally, I think a win here would be massive. It would put us as 3-2 with a fairly soft draw. This would be a great result considering the teams we have versed, and would put us in the early finals picture
Conversely, I think a loss will be dire. I'm not too sure why to be honest, I just feel like it will put to sleep any finals run aspirations despite how early in the year it is.

Yep they said they have changed their junior development under JR all the way down from HM. So realistically we won't see if it has actually worked for another couple years
Do you think Mitch Lewis should be sacked immediately?
They have only lost 1 game (flogged), had a draw against the worst team and yet their wins have been pretty good ones.
Is there too much chopping and changing just because of the number of decent players available?
Nah they made the GF last year. Should have won but choked at the end. So he shouldn't be sacked.
There has been a lot of chopping and changing largely due to injuries. Lots of injuries right now so I can't see them winning the comp
Is Lewis a potential higher grade coach or is he better suited to juniors?
Also, should/are we be preparing potential NRL coaches through pathways like this as well?
Too hard to tell and I am probably not the best person to answer that. I look more at the players than coaching
I think most likely we'll lose but we'll be fine. For team like us, battling to sneak into the 8, no one game is make or break till the end. Teams like us are inconsistent, it's part of it.
So no, I don't feel its make or break.
Nah we broken
The biggest worry right now is that our forward pack is our biggest weakness. But it is not getting any stronger unless we sign someone. Hopgood and Doorey out for the season and no one on the injury list that is coming back.
We have to hope that Guymer, Moretti, Brown, Tuivita, Kautoga go up many levels during the season. Hopefully Paulo has a similar season to last year where he gets better as the season goes on
Age hits forwards so hard so quickly. World beaters last season suddenly look like plodders. I'm sure Junior can still fire up for the odd game but I can't see him coming good. His contact was several years too long.
And with new teams joining the competition the transfer market is thinner than usual apart from the few big names we've already missed out on.
Our best hope this season is that the (uninjured) youngsters develop super fast and we unearth some genuine talent. A few of them definitely have that potential.
