Been seeing everywhere in a lot of comment sections of posts that have to do with like the Spencer signings and just who eels are rumoured to go after.
Very interesting as a lot of comments on those posts are talking about another signing particularly an outside back is already lined up.Normally I'll brush it off but been seeing to many to think it's probably real.

LB I am not as big on his hype tbh - he is a good player don't get me wrong and has an excellent boot, but is he a damaging centre?
Very fair, though also only seen him have one full year at Centre, with Penrith in 2021 where he won Dally M Centre of the year. Now look at the team he played for too.
That is where i agree with you in that if we are to get him to play Centre you are going to pay a mil plus for him. As a Centre is he worth a mil? I would say not. Farnworth, Crichton yes. Best and Latrell maybe based on what they can do but durability is a concern. Burton not sure on it with very limited sample size.
Yes that is my point - if he plays 5/8 then fine as he has the boot to get us downfield; but I have questions over his allround play as a centre. Look at Crichton - tough (bit of a mongrel) but noone dominates him. I feel we need a mongrel type to offset Penisini but Ryles would know more than I do :)
LB says Burton is a centre "everyone" know's that, he speaks for "everyone" now.. it was just a matter of time?
Personally I think Burton is a better 5/8 than a centre but think he would be a very good buy for us regardless. A natural fit at centre with Luai here for a year and equally a natural 5/8 afterwards if none of our wonder boys come through. Genuinely worth the 1m you would need to pay him, not sure on what terms he finished the season with the dogs, was in good form and seemed happy at the end, belying the image he had given for the first half of the season plus.
Its fine to mention those other centres as justifying a million, but realalistically Parra is not going to be competitve in getting any of them.....

I doubt we are chasing Burton to play centre. I believe he is a better 5/8 for us. If we offer him the 6 jumper with a decent 3-4yr contract, we will get him. If he's happy to play centre, he will stay at the Dogs. I don't think Perth are in the picture.
