Annual Easter Monday Clash Moved

The Parramatta Eels' traditional Easter Monday clash has been moved to Stadium Australia in 2021 by Wests Tigers.

The annual fixture was originally scheduled to be played at Bankwest Stadium in Round 4.

Wests Tigers worked with VenuesLive and the NRL to move the fixture to the former Olympic venue.

The shift will allow for a higher number of fans to attend the game.

Both teams missed out on the traditional clash in 2020 due to COVID-19.

The last time the Eels and Tigers played on Easter Monday was in 2019 at the official opening of Bankwest Stadium, when the Eels won 51-6.

Tickets for the Easter Monday match will go on sale in the near future.

  • Surprised it didn't happen sooner. Tigers have finally seen the light and are using the "allows more fans to attend" as an excuse.

If they wanna play 4 home games a year there fair enough, but it's so stupid from a logical standpoint to play one of those 4 games against a team who is a major tenant of the stadium and calls it home and is playing there every 2nd week.

  • Opening of Bankwest, what a cracker that was, wish we could play with that energy every week.

  • I suppose it ain't their jungle anymore lol

    • Never was, lol. I think their win rate there is something like 25%.

  • Moving to a different stadium won't change the result.

  • So, the Tigers are officially the first team in 2021 to run shit scared from the mighty Eels and Fortress Eels?

  • ANZ is still a shit hole

"No that's just recency bias and who exactly have you got in the Parra ranks who replaces his yardage output and teams target getting our sets started and who has a combination with Moses exactly."

First off, let me start by saying I couldn't really care less about Zac leaving. There's enough red flags about decsions he's made off field and on it to show he might not be the full package.  Being 1 year into a 4 year deal and letting this crap…
