I don't like the game being referee'd in 1/10th speed or frame by frame ..
However ... the club needs to stop looking for soft options. He had time and space to ground the ball with no argument.. he's not a specialist finisher and didn't - and the way he did roll it means just like any other part of the game, if they can break down and disallow a try , they will. They referee in black and white. Benefit of the doubt to the attacker doesn't exist anymore.
Theres more issue with both the Sivo incidents. The first no try..again, no benefit of the doubt. If the ref sends that up a try they support it. No try they support that. In this case they just supported what the ref couldnt see and didn't factor in any probability it hit the chalk. Whether the probability is 1% or 99% they treat it the same which is stupid.
The one where he threw it back in was just a horrible call.
Gutho running into the referee checked him in getting to the edge where our defence had once again broken down and Penisini had a crappy attempt at legs tackle. He couldve checked him and given Gutho the extra time. Why Gutho fixates on the ref being the problem annoys the shit out of me. The team has to take responsbility for their own short comings instead of looking for the easy blame. Its just bullshit that BA allowed our leaders to get away with and something that needs changing ASAP.
End of the day we were in front after all these things and our own players made worse errors than the bunker so going in and talking about it post game isn't worth shit. Our outside backs make monumental game deciding and game changing stuff ups every week and we haven't fixed it so whether they allowed these trys or not we wouldve found a way to give them back anyway.
You can't blame Penisininfor that try all Blaize had to do was stay on his man and not come rushing in like he did for no reason.
I'm not blaming Penisni. I'm saying his tackle in scrambling to the edge was weak as hell. He didn't get it done or slow him up enough for Gutho. Blaize had a shitty read which our wingers always do.. Our whole edge couldn't solve it amongst themselves as usual and we're pissed at the ref who checked Gutho 25 metres away.
Best case scenerio for us was Gutho arrives there on time and mops up our edges mess with a try saver on a dude twice his size. Hes done it before but odds were against it... and we point the finger at the ref .. whinge about it right up until half time and then crap on about it as being unlucky post game. Its the soft option.

I thought we had quite a few dodgy calls against us. They also had two tries denied as well, which some days they get because the bunker overlooks it.
We should've won that game (and Mitch nearly single handedly did if he'd potted a couple more conversions), but when you miss 55 tackles, do you really deserve to?
If we got those calls, yes we probably win, but 55 missed tackles says you usually don't. The Knights should'nt take too much away from that win, we were dog shit defensively.
The worst call of the match was toward the end of the game when the knights fullback went up for a bomb and dropped it forward to another offside knights player. The ref just ignored it like nothing happened. Should have been a penalty to us to go 2 points up.
Yep I agree ME, I couldn't believe that one was just called knock on. The Knights player deliberately grabbed the ball in an offside position. Penalty every day of the week.
