Just saw on the news, parra's board of directors have said Anderson will see out his contract even if parra don't make the 8!! Finally some common sense!!!

  • YES~YES~YES
  • Famous last words? though I hope to god he does.
They expect players to honour contracts when clubs can't even do the same.
  • Bewdy - I wonder how much real support he will get from the CEO and board.

It's not commonsense until those guys let HIM be the coach and butt out of the workings of the team.
  • so he has the full support of the board?
  • Yep that's what they said...
  • Bad publicity had everything to do with it, IMO. They deserved it.
  • Historically, more times than not, when a Board comes out and publicly confirms that the Coach's position is 'safe' then inevitably the Coach is sacked (or the relationship becomes 'untenable' and 'unworkable' between Board and Coach).
If theCoach's position is 'safe', then the Board wil not generally comment on 'trivial' matters such as this (and the media will not keep on the story). It's more of a tactic to reduce the payout that is privately negotiated between Board and Coach as part of the separation process. Publicly, both parties will confirm it is an amicable separation (part of the terms of the payout arrangement).
I'm not saying this is going to happen, but we've all seen this exact same scenario too many times before (and I now fear for DA once this public Board 'reassurance' has been released).
  • You may be right, but still shabby all the same.
  • kearney must have said "no"
  • It took long 4 this board to make this statement, they tryna play mind games the smart ar5es

"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "

"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"
