This is big for Russell to cement himself in starting side
We have plenty of depth to cover Blake in my opinion - and I doubt N Brown would have been in the 17 come round 1.
brown is done
Is it really a big issue? We all know about waqa and his ball handling skills, brown, well was struggling to make the 17 last year. We have plenty of depth in those spots and give, like others have said , dunster or russell a chance!
No loss with NB, he is well past his used by date and has very little to offer in 1st grade anymore, he should have been moved on.
No way Snakey . N Brown was voted man of the match playing for Italy in their first World Cup game recently post last years season. He was outstanding. I recommend you watch the game if you can find a replay . He played top level as well in his countries remaining 2 games .
If true, the biggest concern here is that it makes it harder to offload Nathan Brown.
Ok Chief
NB probably wouldn't have gotten a look in unless there were injuries.
Blake is a loss. Despite his dropsies in the back end of the season, he is fast and is a quality finisher on the wing.
Lack of punch off the bench and a lack of quality outside backs is really going to hurt us this season.
A person shouldn't go into the season after his team made the GF thinking they will be lucky to make the top 8 this year.
Whilst not as pessimistic as you BEM I do think Blake (as a winger only) is a loss. That said young Russell is the goods and has the skills to cement his spot with the right opportunity.
