We can still make the 8. We win 5 out of 8 and we could finish 6th. People are thinking you will need 30 to make the 8 because of the cluster of teams on 20 points. The opposite is actually the case because the competition is close. With Melbourne losing today, ( thank you very much Mr Bookie for the $3.05 The Dogs) and the Broncs hopefully losing on Monday, four teams on 20 will have moved nowhere. I am sticking with my prediction three teams will finish on 28 and vie for 7 and 8th spot. If we are one of the three teams we will lose out on F&A. So we need 5 wins out of 8. Not impossible. Don't you feel better now?

  • What's the point of making the eight if we just get smashed anyways.
    • Fair comment brad. I also would hate to see us get into the semis then get belted. It would only degrade what BA & the boys have achieved so far.

  • I reckon if we make the 8 they may surprise a few. No one would be expecting much and who knows, Jarryd may actually decide to play.

  • Kinda lame to say what's the point if we get smashed anyways. It's good experience for the players regardless. Especially if they make it next year.
  • We are not going to make the top 8. Positions 7 and 8 will be decided by for and against. The score line, not the loss decided our fate. The Eels will need to win 6 games overcome our for and against record. Not going to happen.

    • No Joseph, 30 points will make 6th spot as I outlined above so it is 5 wins we need not 6.

  • Nope, we're done. I agree with Joseph that the blowout score line sealed our fate. We won't win 6. Indeed we will be lucky to win any. Our attention should switch to avoiding the spoon
  • Well there is no point plodding into the finals anyway so I am kind of happy we have to go on a winning streak to make it. Let's get hoppa and Hayne back on the park and we simply have to find a way to win. No excuses and no throwing away games we should be winning like the tigers and manly game. Every game from here is a semi.
  • Definitely not with such a bad for and against.
  • 30 points may not be enough to make the top 8, our for and against I fear is going to come back to haunt us.

Who do you think will drop out if we were to make 8? The Storm and the Warriors don't look likely to fall over and there're racking for and against points.

I'm starting to think we can only afford one more loss if we are any chance.
