Very few positives the energy and effort just isn't there I just can't see them getting out of it changes are needed I think Lane coming off the bench and playing in the middle is a sign of change but frankly the squad depth just isn't there we are beyond help I don't see us winning another game

They will be much more competitive when Gutho and Mitch return.
Blaize positional play was responsible for about 5 of Souths try's. Some of these forwards running around with no intensity or direction will get a lift from having them back too .. but the squad has been woefully prepared. Guys have not been prepared to play their role .
After dumping Lane to cup the next move would be to strip Paulo of the captaincy. RCG was really trying to lift the intensity and effort of the pack while big June's ran around like a 120kg pillow. Junior would attract interest on the open market if we picked up some wage but geez he is not playing close to his 950k salary . Easily the worst value prop in the game at that rate .

At times this year, at times tonight, they have very scarily reminded me of those years with Ben Roberts, Sandow, Tautai , and Seffa. So far off the pace. So many stupid errors, garbage penalties, terrible defence and embarrassing break downs in attack. Not 100% it's our lowest ever, there's been some pretty terrible years, but this is right up there.
Nothing comes close to those years to be honest 🤣. Gutho and Mitch will lift these blokes up a bit.

Changes need to be made now that certain players have been exposed, lussick, sivo, paulo, tualagi, lane and to a lesser extent rcg. Talagi and asi should be in reserve grade so I'm not going to be critical of them.
Brown has to be moved back to 5/8 even if moses isn't available next week, play sanders at 7 even though he is quiready yet.

To turn around a team you start with defence. You focus on it but most importantly you pick players who love it. Line speed, hunting as a pack, kick chase etc. Just start with that. Be prepared to win games 8-6.
Otherwise sure, you may jag a few wins with regular FG players returning but they'll be very unconvincing 32-24 type score lines.
True change can only happen when defence has been fixed.
