  Good question, im sure AFL will steal a few future stars at a young age from RL, you guys with kids and involved in junior clubs would probably be better suited to answer as you guys get a better look at the sort of things schools are doing to combat AFL, my answer to your question turps is i don't know, it can't be good for rl thats for sure..

  GWS are still struggling for supporters but a gf appearance will change this as people jump on the bandwagon. This is exactly what the AFL want. The NRL better wake up before it's too late.

    Longfin GWS in 2016 had more paid members than many NRL clubs and their attendances are on par too. In comparison to other Melbourne AFL clubs they are tiny but in the Sydney market they aren't as behind as some league nuts think.

    oh okay rough twigs you want a balanced argument ? Get your head out of your arse ! This isn't the 90s anymore ... There are more people in Western Sydney (4.84 mill) than there are in most states across Australia. League has always and will always dominate the hearts and minds of most of Western Sydney. But the AFL's approach has never been to compete with League, they aren't that stupid! It's more of a case of three is room for everyone and with a population of 4.84 million to work with they are probably right. With regards to your free tickets comment mate everyone does it! Do you think Origin legit sold that many tickets to the 3rd game ?? How else are you suppose to grow a team ? I'm not worried of the AFL presence , League will always reign supreme in the west but to suggest nobody cares illustrates your ignorance about the situation.

  I have to say that l have been to a couple of gala days for oz kick and they are really professional this afl bunch the kids are treated great.
