I get it, ads are a necessary evil for the site. But these ads are ridiculous and so intrusive. You can't read an article or blog post without scrolling past several ads just to read the subject matter. I see a lot of sites but this one is the worst. It cheapens the experience and makes viewing frustrating. And let's face it, reading blogs as an Eels supporter is normally frustrating enough, without the added ad annoyance. How can we stop them?

Download Brave explorer. It blocks all Ads.

Use Brave browser on all devices and say goodbye to all ads.
Trust me Brave is the only Browser I use. Use it for search and everything on every devise. Ads are a thing of the past.
I take it you use your phone. It is totally obnoxious and intrusive so I use computer only. Firefox with ublock origin equals ad free. Brave is also great but i am stuck in my ways

I use Opera on the mobile - it helps. Then, just set the ad blocker, by pressing the button on the bottom right. See images below. Good luck, mate.

It's terrible, probably one of the worst I Visit. The top banner kills me, takes up half the screen sometimes
Thank you for asking the question! This used to be my go to site every day but the level of ads has become ridiculous! I' haven't visited or posted anything on 1EE for 6 months for this very reason and it sounds like I'm not the only one
