On Continuous call team podcast, Proszenko mentioned we are on the look out for a new head of recruitment and Anderson's name is popping up. Mike Rush has a connection with Anderson, he worked with him while at St. Helens.
Whatever the case it seems Rogers is gone. Added to that is it could be that MON is not hiring Rogers' replacement. Usually the GM hires the HOR. He could still be involved but seems Rush, if he is to be CEO, is pulling the strings. Which is what many have asked for our CEO to do, Rush has connections and it calling on them.

How's Ando actually going after his injury? Absolutely cruel what happened to him but I gotta admit he fell off the radar a bit these last few years.
He's a smart mind with a heap of experience, isn't detrimentally ego driven, and would be good to have back in the setup - I always rated him, was just never sure where his best role fit was.

He's put wheels in motion setting the Dragons up for far more success than they had this year . Smart fella , Brian Smith prodigy before setting off on his own journey. If we could get Jason Taylor as a specialist halves or assistant, we'd be on a good path. Unfortunately I think Ryles is a coach a bit like BA who won't surround himself with anyone that has more knowledge or could be deemed a threat. Hence why he was comfy with Nathan Brown and his mates around him. As opposed to say a Robbo who surrounds himself with only the best.

Quite the opposite. Browns a dunce , hence why Ryles has no issue with him .
Though to be fair, Holbrook hired White and Hales who are his mates and it worked. Hired White in GC and worked with Hales at Parra in Holden Cup. That is the difference at least is that if it works nobody notices. I do think Ryles should move Brown on as his idea of having him in the first place was as a sounding board, heading into year three he shouldn't need that.
Now Ryles has hired Mark Russell from Melbourne, but there is a connection, as most assistant hiring are. Though i agree 100% that we should be chasing Jason Taylor.
Holbrook also brought in guys like Buderus to staff , and dragged in Gidley , Harrigan and to a lesser extent A Johns in unofficial roles. It was a total winners culture shift overnight.
Brett White was a Holbrook appointment at the Goldy , by memory the year he was punted , it was quite a new link , purely coaching appointment , not a mate , so if Justin had only just hired him it's totally understandable he thinks he has something to offer .
Brown was Ryles coach and mate of many years away from work . You could easily question whether he was the best man for the job or whether it was a job for the boys appointment.

Baz isn't a bad assistant . What are Browns ambitions other than to get paid ? He's not exactly a beacon of motivation and drive . What did he so when he went to the Gold Coast with family ? Just bummed around and tried to get involved with The Titans to no avail. .
Dunno maybe just me , but I'd suggest to succeed you want people with ambitions to coach and learn , or has been a proven success as an NrL coach . He's neither. Hes just a guy who's failed time and time again as an NRL coach and has seemingly given up . Now hes filling our coaches head with his failed methods .
He got the job done in selling a spoon winning disgrace of a club with no coach as an attractive destination.
