A Quick Update

No earth shattering news in this but just some info from around the club.* the gym at the Old Saleyards is being set up in time for the return to training. This will mean that the players won't have to go off site for their gym work. Eventually this will be an amazing complex. The current training surface would be close to the best in the game.* the new stadium is looking like a 32000 capacity. Aiming to commence construction around the end of next season* the Eels shop has now moved to a new facility in the club entrance. Further development to commence soon.

  • Good news about the gym, its going to be a great facility in the future, are we doing any actual building there 60s, has the designs for the coaches rooms, players rooms, physio rooms etc been built, is this where the gyms going?

    cheers

    • The permanent structures are waiting for a funding model to be finalised. This will be because it will be a community facility. My understanding is that the permanent structure will be built on the western field end (my bearings taken into consideration).
The current set up is in demountables, with the football staff also having their offices/working space there (not the football club administration which will be located in the old workers club during the leagues club renovations)
  • Sixties, where did you hear about the increased stadium capacity ?
  • Good news Sixties, thanks for the update

  • Many thanks 60's for keeping us up to date. Really appreciate the effort.

  • Aaaaah so it was you Miatch?

Damn, that was one helluva insult delivered first class to the Fwankanfurter!

  • They have also updated all the player signage around the outside of leagues club. Looks great !

Also retained many graphics of past players. They did a good job. Make sure you check it out when next at the leagues club (or driving past)
  • Hell yeah. Why was the shop in that stupid building across the road? So annoying waiting for cars to pass, so I can go and spend money on more Parra gear. Good to hear it's part of the main building, as it should be.

    • The Eels shop and ticket office used to be further inside the club and the football administration used to be in a Parra owned property in a nearby street. They then converted the space that was the old Northcott building into football offices and Eels shop/ ticket office. The new Hotel will be built on the site of the current football offices.
