A slight decline in the completion rate this week as 76% was the previous week, the forwards stood up in defence with none making below 15 tackles which helped to take the pressure of the outside backs whom have struggled in defence. Watmough improved his running game as did most of the forwards, As always peats was a stalwart in defence, Props to Lussick who has been playing quite solid doing what he needs to do. Takairangi said earlier in the week if we hold the ball than we will win, the 56% possession did exactly that and our ability to stay strong in defence and back it up in attack was excellent.

  • The big boppers made great yards. I reckon that is just such a critical stat. Everything begins with that. Lussick is really coming along nicely.
  • Haha
How many times do we ever beat teams in offloading
  • David Gower run on. Was stoked for the man! My favorite player.
  • Great to see we beat them in almost every stat, what stats don't show is the quality of those hit ups and in particular the tackles. The contact point of our hits were incredible and especially from our smaller forwards like mau, watmough idg and peats they are not big boys but they are charging and cutting players in half and you can see other teams don't like it even tho they are much bigger our boys are hurting them. I haven't seen any team treat the burgess boys like our pack did last night!
You could see ba gave them a mission and they executed it perfectly, congrats to all.
Living in northmead and going to vote the area is buzzing, eels gear everywhere and it's what everyone is talking about, love it!!
  • Watmough turned up this week top game
  • Very impressive stats there. What a team effort with everyone deserving mom points We are nuts if we we loose Norman. Where is Foz fitting into?
  • Some impressive stats there. The offload stat impresses me. Regular offloads without over doing it, that's what I want to see.
  • Metres/run from Mannah and Robinson are great. Although they didn't have as many runs as others. Is it because they had less ball that the stats were good, or should we be giving them more ball?
  • Both centers had 7 tackles and both wingers one tackle. I guess that indicates somewhat where this game was being played.
  • I've said it before and copped a pounding but to me Lussick doesn't realise how good he can be.

He has played really well so far this year and tbh I think he is potentially in the top 3 props in the game. There are some honest toilers out there but not many with his size and aggression. The other forwards hit it up and always peek a sneaky look whenever he is defending. I feel many fear him. He must really hurt in defence. Glad he is one of ours.
