Nice one Dean, thanks for putting that together mate.
No worries
Nice one Dean. It would be interesting to see the individual player stats. When we needed to hold the ball we threw crazy passes. When we needed to go forward over the advantage line we chipped and chased on our 25. When we needed to make a tackle we seemed to fall off. Not everyone did this, so it would be good to see individual contributions.
Poor refereeing didn't help but we didn't play very well at all. Wicks will improve even more once he gets his head around the speed of the game. I thought he was fantastic.
Not the end of the world, but if we don't improve our completion and possession rate, we will see it soon.
We will not win too many games (if any at all) by completing just 22 sets in a match.
The Dogs were pretty ordinary last night, without Reynolds they do not offer much in attack (Hodgkinson was ordinary at the best).
We really need to dominate early. Last night, like many other games in the passed four years, we have been totally dominated in the first 10-15 minutes, we then fight hard for the next 20-50 minutes and then run out of steam in the remainder of the game. (Good news is that we appear to be fighting back for longer).
For me, we really need to work on the way we start games.
Injuries and lack of possession cost us the game, we did a great job to hang in there as long as we did. We look a much tougher and physical side this season but injuries look like ruining our season.
