Sometimes it is a good time to reflect on your own personal journey through life and question everything.about yourself and the life you lead. We all have regrets later in life. The more you become aware of yourself the more you can become content and have power in shaping your destiny

Hi Tad, I hope you are well and yeah it looks like "challenging" times ahead.( can't watch vid atm)
I fear that my daughter may need to understand "Restance!" and all that entails....I am feeling a bit bleak for the future this xmas but i hope you have a joyful one
Merry Christmas Tad, thanks for sharing
Some really great messages we can take on board
My brother always told me, there's really no such things as friends, only people with common interests.
Once these interests die, so too will the friendship.
At 50, I realize my brother has always been right.
Fuck what everyone else thinks, make yourself and your partner happy, everyone else should come second.
Hi Randy, Mick and Frank, nice to catch up with you guys .The complexity of human relations at all levels is something which I find fascinating. How and where do we get our perceptions of people, organisations and incorporate our belief systems and develop our values which often come into conflict. How history through eternity has been shaped through influencers with power over us. We function at many different levels the consciousness we are exposed to and our unconscious which where our unique soul lives. . How we value different friendships probably is much more aligned with how more closely you function with your attachment to your soul.
The link I am putting up is something I am struggling to make sense of in trying to find myself. I think Anthony Hopkins ( one of my favourite actors of all time) presents the trying to find the real you is maybe something that awakens you in your more senior years when you try and make sense of your personal history with your life on the planet.
This is something really worth watching if those sentiments one day interests you.

Hi Tad, Happy returns of the season to you.
As you know I can be quiet blunt and would say to you that the real search is knowing who you are and reacting and managing the process of what that is. You are probably the only one that can be honest with yourself in this regard.
I love philosophy the same as you and those men you have listed are truly greats, my favourite being Socrates as he was totally original..... everyone else maybe original in themselves but influenced the same way you are by their experiences and mannerism's of previous great people. All research has a data base, even if its intuitive.
I think as an ideal that we need to love our family and respect our friends..... Frank (through his brother) hit upon the notion that friendships are more infuences of acquaintenances. Whilst cynical it is a view that is hard to argue with.
I think you have given many examples of the wisdom you have been able to relay from great minds that influence you.
BUT and this just me being the arrogant prick I am.....I would just prefer to hear what Tad has to say and his life experiences and journeys rather than catching the motion of those guys who are all having their own journey's. Those journey's they are on can actually be a narrower spectrum than your own.
Have a good one for 2025 and our mutual interest is our football team and our relationship of distance is really determined by how that team performs. One thing we can be sure of is that in the same journey of life, there will be hills and valleys on the way.
NB I read your stuff yesterday and was re reading this morning and thought I would put my philosophical bent on it. Some will criticise me for "whatever" but I have learnt on social media that critique is what most people are best at, originality comes from somewhere else.
I'm not speaking on behalf of Tank, in his observation he doesn't point to mistrust of others but the parting of ways or connection when common interest don't align
Don't disagree Micky, mistrust didn't come into the equation, it was more about the relationships that we can have with friends. No probs.
Hi Poppa , hope you and family have had a good Christmas. I loved Christmas energy up until about 12 years old and the Bing Crosby era . Gradually went downhill from then as the materialism mindset dominated what Christmas was all about and magic was lost.
Trying to find myself in the philosophies of life out there I think will always be a mystery for all thinkers trying to make sense of human behaviour. I am still on that journey . Trying to find yourself I think requires getting into " stillness" which is difficult to get into with the noise of technology thrown at us every minute of our waking days. One thing I like about you is the Ego awareness you have. Eg " the arrogant prick" not many of us are willing to go public with that type of self reflection.
There are heaps of good people around despite the makeup of the self interest power bases trying to shape our values attitudes a reality consciousness. Volunteers, carers, and givers of society are not often given the recognition they deserve.
I think we go through different stages in our life. I think at our age it is a good thing trying to make sense of it. You are right I don't really know myself in this big world of competing ideologoes and still looking to others to help me out .
How history through eternity has been shaped through influencers with power over us
...and who do not care for our wellbeing. I am reading "How Jesus became God" by Bart D Erhman, and this is one of my takeouts from it.
History is also shaped by folks like Luigi Mangione....those who(like Jeus), smell the social fuel and throw a match
This vid is funny, and thoughtful, Josh Johnson at his best

Hi Tad, I've been wondering where you've been and how you're travelling.
Although I've had very few interactions with you, I recognised you were a talented thinking person.
I sense you are about to wean yourself off this site and if that's the case know that you'll be missed.
From what i saw of you, you remain a remarkable Gentleman.
Good luck Tad.
