Hi Guys,
My first blog ever, but I know a thing or two about the Eels being a supporter for 27 years!!
I attended the post match function at the Leagues Club on Saturday night (by chance after seeing the players walk up after I had dinner) and was a tad surprised at some of the players there. I must say that perception on TV is one thing but meeting them in the flesh is another. I love the Eels, always have & always will, however, I was a bit surprised at how some of them came acroos in real life. They were just standing there talking amongst themselves and not the fans. I am not expecting them to come over to me & my mates and have a chat, but was hoping for more of an effort or a more accomodating demeanour to chat to us. The exception to this was Tom Humble, Nathan Hindmarsh & Justin Poore who all said hello and had a brief chat. Tom Humble is a great bloke and has not got a ego at all.
Not stirring the pot at all, but would love to hear other peoples opinions.
Notable ommissions from the post match function - Nathan Cayless & Jarryd Hayne, but looks like the telegraph has beaten me to the punch here!!

Not really the recipe you want before being sent to a leagues club to 'mingle' with the fans.
The boys are usually really good with the fans, im sure a lot of them have egos but they understand they are nothing without the fans.
I think you'd have a different experience after a win or in better circumstances
