        • Take your point that Lomax plays.

The freeing up of Hawkins is like the Cleary Moses scenarion, they Walker &  Hawkins are not complimentary, having Walker on the bench hides him as a weapon to be released.

I think I have seen enough of Volkman to say he is maybe not complimentary to Hawkins, although they may have developed a combination in Cup that could be an advantage. In regard to pecking order for the younger potential 5/8's I have not seen enough of the 3 talked about to make a conclusion. Somewhere in the coaching staff minds they may have a favourite that they will give a chance to do something at this level.

I don't believe in pecking orders of seniority, such structure smack's of beaucracy,........ between Twidle, Talataina and Joash, the one with the potential in their minds should be chosen.

Rhetorically we talk about age and physique but using Galvin as an example, he established himself as a 19 year old, I would ask EA his opinion  how those 3 are at compared to Galvin as honestly I do 't know them well enough to make an opinion. Forget about their respective ages, do we have a Galvin amongst those 3?

If they are regarded as equal then we haven't got that special player identified yet from our juniors going forward.

IF they are equal I would go for Joash, he won't be overawed by the occasion. Those that think Dyllan makes no difference, look out, the defensive clean up he offers is not replaceable.

    • I tell you what boyz  I'd be using our fowards more and going away from the ball movement until we get a semblance of our spine back.

Through the middle is where it's at for us not sticking with the tried and true error ridden system with less talent.

I'd have Iongi sniffing round the middle off of any quick play the balls and I'm giving JaC an open license to go look for the ball.

But I'm basing my game plan around short passing and offloads in the middle of the park.Only time I'm going to Hawkins and Volkman is inside the 20s as they pose no threat to defensive lines running the footy.

If I were JR I'd go with a bigger bench and start Walker at 6.Out of the halves available he's the only run/pass threat.

  • Tbh moses has done fark all since returning from injury except the tigers game. He's been a passenger every other game. You watch mitch will be sweet for origin 3 mark my words.

    • Yep you can guarantee it.

    • He's done fark all period, besides a good game here or there he's not a consistent footballer. Imagine gutho 5/8 and sanders better then this crap!

    • Exactly and his kicking game has got worse. Something stinks 🦨 🦨

  • If he sits out 6 weeks plus the 7 or 8 he missed already. It's nearly half the season. And we signed him for 5 more years.

  • It's seriously time to start looking for a genuine halves pairing for the Eels. Moses is. Spending more time out than in, Dylan Brown is going and basically doing little anyway. It's becoming ridiculous! The Eels recruitment with Ryles need to start moving and get some key signings

    • Does DB even play? Cut the cord.

  • Season is over anyway. Who gives a shit

"EA, how was Coinakis in Flegg? Do you think he is that good that he could overtake Smith in time as the starter, pushing in 2027, or is Smith the better prospect?"

"I tell you who Ryles should target and that's Donahue from the Dolphins
Tries his guts out and is as tough as nails.
When the rest of the forwards comes back from injury he won't have a starting position anymore so maybe worth a shot."
