    • What it is, the limited game time means rep footy is causing his body to break down further. If he is to play Origin again he will better suited in 2027 have a full year in 2026 to get his body back to 100%. I don't think he has ever been 100% since Manly in Round 3 last year when he first hurt his foot.

      • Sorry LB but that is rubbish!

        • Well I guess you will say I'm not a doctor but neither are you so we could both be wrong.

In hindsight we probably would have been better off resting him v Penrith.

I said I don't think he has been good 100% since Manly last year but he had a groin issue then too.

    • As well as captain

  • Surely he has to give up rep football! We pay him more than a million a season for a hand full of games. Our win ratio is terrible without him. Very poor value for money atm!

To me it's a joke and I can only laugh. If it wasn't already, our season is now over.

    • It's nothing to do with rep football.

He did this injury at training for fcuksake......he is basically is not keeping up.

Rehab is a process of wholelistic recovery and I am sure he has experts looking at all those angles.

The "drop kicks" on here that think it is money and conspiracy driven are living in a world of total delusion.

  • Nrl should grant salary cap relief for players due to injury during origin period training and games!

Man if they did Moses would be close to 800K worth over last couple of seasons.

ridiculous club forks out mega amounts for this shite to happen A gain!

    • They can and do. We'd have to apply for it and make the case. But the NRL can and will give teams dispensation for injuries to players due to in-season rep duties.

Not much we could do even if we did have the cash.

    • Money is not the issue Mace, we have plenty, it cannot buy you "playing time"  Moses did nothing in that first Origin game to say rep football caused the injury.

The nature of the game now sees more and more injuries, the better you are at it, the more you are targetted. Look at guys like Turbo, a shadow of his former self caused by injuries, Ponga similar, Cleary has been through it and of course we have further witnessed it with Dyllan Brown (burnout), now its Moses turn.

Soon as they get into there mid to late 20's they start to get effected. Surprising once they get through this period the tough ones hang around. Watching some of these older players playing their 300 games is fascinating given the nature of the game.

      • One danger I see and especially with guys who depend on speed and I noticed this out of the nfl.Soft tissue injuries are the beginning of the end for those types who rely on explosiveness and speed as there calling cards.

Atlanta Falcons my team had the best WRer in football for about 6 years a absolute beast of an athlete and player but he started getting these soft tissue injuries around hamstrings and quads and he's just retired but his career tailed off in 2020 big time purely because of these injuries no matter what he did he just couldn't get back to that player he was pre 2020.

See much the same with turbo and god I hope it isn't the same with Moses especially at his age.
