  • Couldn't agree more. It's a blight on the game and needs to be rectified.

    • 100% has taken all the grit out of the game. It's just touch footy now and fastest to play the ball wins

  • If we'd won on Thursday nobody would be complaining.

The worst game handling wise I've ever seen from an nrl team. A disgraceful display that Ryles needs to address.

A smaller pack like ours should take advantage of the 6 again rules as there's less stoppages and that is unfavourable for bigger packs.  We just need to hold the fckn ball and earn the right before throwing passes out of our asses

So stop whinging and trying to find excuses for the players. Ryles needs to address the issue or the Broncos will put 60 + on us without a shadow of doubt .

    • Not saying we didn't play bad, but if you watch most games you can see how it influences momentum and flow of a game. With little to no explanation. Of course a team is going to get blown off the park if they have to tackle 3 sets straight for a slightly slow ruck lol.

      • Looking like fitness will be extremely important now and holding possession.  I think if we're taking advantage of the new rules and winning,  nobody would be worrying about rules

If Parramatta are on top, who cares

Melbourne seemed to nail everything about the rules.

Anyway I've never liked kicking for touch.  That rule was brought in when you could only kick a heavy leather ball so far.  Nowadays you make 50 meters from a controversial penalty, so nobody wins either way

So a team makes 50m from a player being 50cm offside  - is that fair ????  I csll is stupidity

        • Yes basically holding the ball and making minimal mistakes is the way to victory.

          • Yep exactly.  And brilliant attack when inside  the 30m

            • I do think if you just complete and kick to corners repeatedly, the other team will just crack eventually. Boring style but it works

  • Welcome to the world of entertainment this is exactly what's happend in the nfl also they've taken the physicality and down graded it with rule changes and alike. The next thing your probably going to see with head knocks coming more prevalent is what happens off the park in pre season I have no doubt that's where the sport is going because they don't want the inherent bills that come with it.

The game is now entertainment based and the rules will reflect that the purist nature of the sport is being taken away. We basically committed the cardinal sin on Thursday night 6 mores weren't the reason why we lost this game I'm not sure why this is even on the table. We were that poor with the ball it just snow balled from there we handed it to the Storm with our error rate and completion rate pure and simple everything else happend off of the mentioned.

    • Oh we played terrible but I'll know we'll be better moving forward. This is more about the nrl as a whole. Soon they will be wearing tags and it'll be tag footy. 🤣 you can't really win the ruck or dominate that way anymore you have to tackle then roll to the side and a guy like Harry Grant can just jog over lol.
