And the ref will blow his whistle when exactly?
After ensuring Parramatta could not possibly derive an advantage.
Mmmm I smell another controversy, this time in the finals series. I'll just go slam my head into a brickwall now so I can say "I told you so" in about a month's time.
As BA said, "Why is the NRL so reactive instead of proactive?"
When the Bulldogs,Manly,Storm,Bronco,Roosters are ready.
And how will this give the advantage to the attacking team?
The refs are slow in getting back or don't have the courage to blow time on because the defending team have a wet paper bag as their defensive line.
I'd hate to see a semi or GF decided on this.
I liked the idea of having a ball placed permantly in a box near the 20 metre line.
The attacking player picks up the ball out of the device and as soon as their foot is back in the field of play it's game on.
I don't even think you need a tap.
Ball in box. Pick ball up. Play on.
Couldn't be simpler.
This new rule still relies on the refs interpretation.
When possible. Take interpretation out of the rules.
Silly
Yep I would like to see a corner post on the 20 metre line with a ball. Winger picks up ball, throws ball to teammate. Teammate taps and goes. Ball-boy issue removed as it doesn't rely on the ball-boy having to supply the ball.
