I am not clutching at straws. The Warriors were the better team. However there were three incidents ruled by the officials against us that could have gone the other way.
In the 4th minute Jennings broke through and was in the process of being tackled by Ayshford who subsequently fell off the tackle and Jennings went over the try line. It was ruled he was initially held and made to go back and play the ball. I have seen similar incidents go the other way.
Simon Mannerings try was DEFINITELY an obstruction. Hoffman went throughout the line taking Takiarangi out and Hoffman ran through that hole to score. I have seen these ruled no try.
Similarly Norman went over and it was ruled an obstruction which probably was. Again I have seen these allowed.
If these three matches were played hypothetically at previous home ground Parra Stadium would have all these three decisions go against us. You wonder.

Sorry, sick of hearing the excuse the refs costs us. Just before 1/2 time the sharks had a forward pass ruled against them in Melbourne in really trying conditions yet they found a way to win. Yes it was forward but they could have thrown their arms in the air and say "why us again". I could go on and on and on about teams overcoming poor refs calls. Parramatta on the other hand never seem to overcome a howler (or even a questionable 50/50) from the ref and the fans then want to blame the match officials. To win in sport you need to overcome adversity and we cant seem to do that.
Brad, is that you?
I agree. However if we had been awarded the Jennings try and the Mannering try had been disallowed, there could have been a momentum shift in the game.
that's what tipped off the referees.
