I have previously been optimistic and have felt confident that 2011 could be the year we finally make a turning point. But my gut feeling tells me that we are in for another unpredictable season.
After watching the teams in the NRL towards the end of the season and into this final series. We look like we are far behind many. I think we have always been labelled as the best team on paper, but now going through all the NRL teams we dont look as good as others on paper anymore. Sometimes we forget to look at the opposition, and dont respect how good that team has developed or recruited. So many teams will be even stronger in 2011, and the NRL comp is open as ever. So if you dont have the basic positions covered or the edge then your no chance.
Unfortunalty I look at our club, and see we still have uncertainty in our coaching staff, lack a safe back 3, have no depth in the centres, have no solid or flowing halfs combination, no smart dummy half, and ageing forwards. Putting all this together with our poor attitude at times and some player ego then we have a ticking time bomb!
I wouldnt be surprised if Hayne walks out on the club, if the blame game turns on him again. Pressure can do silly things to people and we cannot rely on one player to make us competitive.
IMO if we do not settle the coaching staff issue, recruit better, and have a great start to the season then the coffin will be out early and the nails will ready by round 15.
Sorry if anyone is upset with my opinion, but I say it how I see it..

I dont think its as bad as u say. I reckon we can make the 8 but thats as far as i can see.
i expected heaps this year got squat, so next year i'll expect nothing and get something, i hope.
1. Jarryd Hayne is moved to five-eighth and takes to the position. Realistically, we have no one in the side even close to Jarryd and he needs to have ball in hand as much as possible.
2. Brad Murray is a revelation, OR Daniel Mortimer's takes his game up to where the club was expecting it to go this year OR Tom Humble gets a crack at seven and takes to it.
Other things that could help:
3. Carl Webb rediscovers his best form and gives us additional impact off the bench
4. Jacob Loko comes into firsts and proves to be just as good at the top level as we'll all hoping, preferably in the centres
