2010 Grand Final day will be more heart-breaking

Think about it....if Parra don't win the comp this year, whoever that team might be Roosters, Tigers, Panthers, Dragons etc that team didn't have to contend with a cheating club the Melbourne Storm. The 2010 premiers will be given a better chance.

Depression will sink in Grand Final night. :(

  • and? ur point?
    • My point is that us Parra fans will be haunted a year later with what was discovered earlier this year.
  • if melb was not caught out we will be in no contention 2 make the finals
  • For me, it won't have anything to do with the Storm, it will be because a series of decisions have been made that I think have cost us the opportunity to be much better than we currently are. It will be because this was a year where we should have won the premiership.

That said, I don't want to think about that now. I don't think there is that much needs fixing for us to be on par with the Dragons and Roosters and we can definitely win the 5 from 6 we need to put us into the finals.
    • Unless you are Parramatta '81-'86, premiership opportunities don't come around that often and when it did last year (eight years later) we got screwed over.
Don't want to bring up what might be considered the past (Storm saga) but that's what is on my mind these days. It already started when Parra were trailing the Panthers 22-0
  • Time to move on slip
Life deals you the cards then it is up to you how you play them.

Even if the Storm were out of contention there in no definite guarantee we would have won last years GF against somebody else.

    Focus on this year.
    • Yeah that's true, 2009 against another team could of been a repeat of 2001. Oh well, as you say, life goes on.
  • I've made no secret of the fact that I've been frustrated with the halves all year. I thought from the trials that Kris Keating has outplayed both Mortimer and Robson, and I would have been building the halves around Keating not Mortimer. I have always felt - even last year - felt that the Robson/Mortimer combination was totally dependent on Hayne firing and that it would be found wanting when the crunch comes. To exacerbate that, I've been frustrated that Mateo has not been given more attacking responsibility.

I just think we had all year to come up with alternate points of attack, but we're six weeks out from the finals and we're only more reliant on Hayne than ever.
    • yep i agree and the dumb part is when mateo was at 5/8 and keats was at 7 for i think 1 or 2 games last year they looked really good together until they both got injured in that manly game

over the past 3 seasons our best 5/8 has been mateo and our best half has been kk and we have let both go.
  • i still believe though that we play any other team last year in the gf and we win.

melbourne are too experianced and clinical when it comes to big finals games

"In fairness to Cleary as much as I'd love to sink the boot into that Penreff scum, he did not get one quick play the ball tonight to do Cleary things. Why was the refereeing so different to game 2? There were times tonight when NSW was well on top…"
