Just as a matter of interest I believe that Ken Irvine and Eric Grothe Snr were the best all time wingers and a guy called Edie Lumsden from the St George 60's greatest team ever. In recent times I have kept raising the limit on Semi Ramrarda, everytime I see that highlights passage, I find it difficult to compare to who else I have seen. Probably the lack of longivity becomes the exclusion, but Eric Grothe played a lot of his career on one leg and was still faster than most!!
Great memories is one of the joys of old age, don't ever think you have seen the best, because there will always be someone better that you have not seen.....being a huge racehorse fan brings that home even more!
I agree with your Ken Thornett sentiment Poppa. Even though even I was too young lol. I heard Ken Irvine was brilliant too you would have to be to score 212 tries I guess
