I think the Pearce / Carney combination is developing into one of the best half / 5/8 combinations in the comp. The width they play with stretches the opposition defense, and both are capable of taking on the line. Our forwards are going to have to…
IMO he seems most suited to the 9 role, quick out of dummy half, creates space for the forwards by engaging the markers and can provide a kicking game from dummy half. I would love to see him start there for the rest of the year. If there has been a…
Seems Danial has a great media sense, either that or someone advising him does.
I belive you can put his $250K / year contract down the the exposure he got at the end of last year in the media, and he played us off against the Dogs beutifully.

I agree that DA seems to be going for a cultural shift to build a side that will provide more consistency. Let’s hope he has a decent half back up his sleeve.
LMFAO, only a Bulldogs supporter would antagonise the supporters of a team that is ahead of them on the table.... too dumb to realise when your team is crapper than the team you are berating!!!
Agree!!!
What I don't like here is that the bloody manager is getting involved. Bloody parasites can’t be trusted.
If Hayne has a problem with DA, the manly thing to do is sit down and talk it through. These school yard tactics which surmount to H…
I also think that he had a good game against the Knights. His defence was strong and he ran hard through the line.
It's a shame though that he hasn't consistently played with that kind of passion.
Re Tahu: Bigger and Slower unfortunately, seems the years he was put out to pasture in RaRa have added to his size but reduced his speed. Seems you need more meat on your bones in RaRa in case you get cold standing around do jack on the wing!
I would love to see some stats on Jarryd's line breaks during ball return for this year. My impression is that he is much better marked than last year and only really does the same job that any other fullback could do. In fact his slow play the ball…
Don't forget we only moved Burt out of fullback to make way for Hayne. Burt did a great job for us there for a couple of years. In fact Burt has done a great job for us wherever he has been asked to play.
Maybe its time to try Hayne at 5/8 again. When he was moved to fullback last year he flourished as an individual, providing moments of sublime brilliance in attack. This was aided somewhat by the space and freedom that playing fullback offered him.…
Do/have you play footy (If so for who, when, position, etc)?
Played for Patrician Brothers Fairfield & Liverpool, trialed for Jersey Flegg at Wests, Played for various week end sides Liverpol City, Liverpool Pats, Liverpool Catholic Club, All Saints. Won a couple of Grandfinals. The only thing that stopped me playing first grade was ability:-)
What changes would you make if you were Eels coach
I think were moving in the right direction with shackleton and poor. Definetly need to bolster the forward pack, small mobile packs just dont cut it these days and all our up and comming second rowers are shaped in this mould. ONce we do that we will create space for the backs, I think we have a pretty good backline and I am confident that Inu will find some form soon after his knee reconstruction last year.
What changes would you make if you were Eels CEO?
Try to bring back the culture of the 80's. Get the legends around the club more, get people like Brett Kenny and Peter Sterling involved with the coaching in assitant roles. Ray Prices passion should be enough to inspire anyone.
