Weller definitely gone

Let there be no doubt that Weller Huaraki won't be with Parramatta in 2010. He's likely to turn out for the Celtic Crusaders in the English Super League this weekend.

Crusaders coach Jon Sharp was quoted by The Press Association as saying "He's settled in nicely and had chance to get over the jetlag".

"He has had a couple of sessions with us and he's really impressed. He has some size and looks to have plenty of skill. We've not finalised the team yet but he'll probably be in the 17 for Friday."

Huaraki's picture has also been removed from the Eel's Player Profile page.

  • Sorry 1 Eyed, looks like Weller won't be our Stellar Weller in 2010.
  • God help the Crusaders if they think Weller has "plenty of skill"!!!

Just kidding. Best of luck Weller. Hope you can blossom over there.
  • Good to see him finally out of an Eels jersey!
  • do u really care that he is gone i doubt he was even gettin paid that much anyway.
    • It's still a waste for a poor player that, in my opinion, has no future neither at the Eels nor at the NRL.
  • I don't know about Weller its a strange one.

I played a season of touch with him about 5 years ago and was amazed at his ball skills and speed for a big bopper.

Seemed to lack a bit of mongrel in first grade but and also seemed to lack timing with his tackling.

He might go pretty good over in the Super League where they don't place as much emphasis on Defence.
  • Now he can be an utterly useless reserve grader at the Celtic Crusaders.
