Volkman Commits to Eels Until 2028

The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce Ronald Volkman has re-signed with the Club for a further two seasons, extending his stay in Blue and Gold until the end of the 2028 NRL season.

Volkman’s form this season has seen him establish himself as a key contributor, with the talented playmaker continuing to build confidence and consistency under Head Coach Jason Ryles.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said Volkman's re-signing was a deserved reward for his dedication and performances.

"The positive environment which Jason Ryles has created at the Club has provided some stability for Ronald where he is playing his best football of his career.

"He has earned this opportunity with some wonderful individual and team performances, and he will only continue to improve," O'Neill said.

Volkman has enjoyed an outstanding season recording 10 try assists from 17 appearances and adds further stability to the Eels' roster as the Club continues to build towards the future under Ryles' leadership.

"timmy mannah anyone? green i realise, but sounds like he has been successful in business, and has alot of footy nouse as well. Meida and eels experience too. "

"Under Wisemantel though I feel like we've become a better team in the air. Brian Kelly, Jordan Samrani and Sean Russell all became pretty damn good under cross field bombs. "

He's only 24 as well a lot of footy ahead of him, he will only get better, he does need to improve he's defence in the off season but.

overall a pretty decent Resigning, could be a handy 14

Good stuff he deserves it worked hard and improved his defense and running game this year I think Lui could be on the bench or cover for Moses only next year bit like Pezet if he keeps the momentum up

Good back up half depth resigning. He will be a regular in the 18 to 20 jersey no doubt.

Talk of him being cover as a hooker on socials has me worried about our fan base.

Glad the club dug deep to get him back in the fold. Learnt their lesson from losing Footy Dean.

I think with he can cover fullback with Joash going. He has the speed.

He's good at 6.

I think he's a bit better at 7 as he's not as silky with his passing in close quarters as Luai or Talataina, but is a better first receiver.

And his shorter stature can make him adept at hooker.

So yes, 14. Which means what for Ryley Smith?

    Moses might take a step back from playing now ? He's already wound his kicking duties back, maybe with both Luai and Volk around Moses might express his desire to roll back his playing duties from 14 games a year to none , just to preserve his body . Full pay and game bonus's of course , or maybe he'll still be listed , however just opt out of any physical part of the playing. He may just run on then lean against the posts and yell instructions.
