Permalink Reply by George Taylor on February 10, 2012 at 1:14pm I see your Expectations aren't high at all Slippery? With the roster we have, why do you realistically think we cannot make the 8?

Fess up please!
Permalink Reply by 1Eyed Eel on February 10, 2012 at 11:13am That wasn't intentional. I've gone on record saying Dave Taylor is my pick. It would not surprise me if we got Taumalolo as well. Other than that, I think we're going to have a quiet signing year especially if Ben Roberts plays as it hoped. I think we'll look to replace Casey McGuire and I think that will be it. Two second rowers, one half/hooker and maybe another centre later in the year if none of the young blokes come on.
Permalink Reply by Fuifui on February 10, 2012 at 11:31am Dave Taylor has got to be 0.01% chance of leaving the bunnies let alone coming to Parra, right?
Rusty ain't gunna lose him, we aren't gunna spend $800+ on a 30 min second rower and even if both of those two had the remote chance of coming off surely we would be gazumpped (spelling) by a club that needed him more right? Canterbury, roosters, titans, brisbane etc...
It also goes against that mantra SK and Nolan have preached just in the last couple of days right, I'd say the big money rumours for Beau Scott have gotta contradict that too.
Permalink Reply by Ham "Kearney" Sammich on February 10, 2012 at 11:53am Don't forget he's also a centre, prop and could probably play halfback
If the Bunnies get there man in Cronk, on anything close to the $850k per season that is being reported, they will have little chance of keeping Taylor.
Permalink Reply by blueNgold on February 10, 2012 at 1:11pm I don't like to toot horns early and obviously a lot of things especially can change etc but I have heard pretty reliably that Taumalolo has in principal agreed to come to the club. The club has been looking into him for a while, i.e before he debuted last season.
He really wants to play under SK and be with his brother/family etc. The financials havnt yet been arranged obviously however. I'd like to get it sorted soon becuase I think this kid will be BIG news next season, awesome awesome prospect.
Permalink Reply by Fuifui on February 10, 2012 at 1:57pm So thats Darcy Lussick and now Jason Taumalolo that are strongly rumoured to join in '13. Add to that Beau Scott being offered a deal to good to be refused and Dave Taylor...
How much truth to these things can there be?
