If I'm the club I'm just pretending they don't exist. To have an organisation as large as our club , picking battles with a dope in his garage spreading rumours , true or untrue is so fucking lame it's not funny. Makes us look like a two bob social league type setup. Who gives two fucks what some idiot says. He shouldn't even be on their radar , it's nothing more than a few egos spending club ( fans ) money in legal bills to flex over their own personal grievance's.
Could we imagine someone like Uncle Nick bothering with some idiot in his shed talking shit ? No way. At the end of the day the club started this rot by trying to get this dope to be their free public relations officer , which is chook raffle mindset . And this is why professional clubs succeed with hard work and results , and chook raffle clubs try to take shortcuts by getting backyard plodcasters to do their work for them.
And the backyard plodcaster got what he deserved by talking his listeners for idiots by not disclosing he was acting favourably to the club with his opinions due to receiving benefits himself.

I agree with cutting the oxygen from idiots like this, but this guy does actually have decent reach and the Eels have to (and should) protect their brand.
Doesn't need to play out in the media, just the usual legal means. This guy needs to be deplatformed if he's crossed any legal lines (and it appears he may have).
Issue is, he has sycophants protecting him. He knows he does. Bloke sets an "us against them" mentality with the club.

A bunch of followers doesn't convert to equally as many influenced . Studies say that it's actually under 5% of somones followers number are actually influenced to action. And that's on someone of decent celebrity, so a nuffie like this dude you'd think maybe 1% at best would actually listen to him when he calls to cancel memberships.
These are the kind of statistics the club needs to research before taking any action. Because if old mate has a decent lawyer , they'll damn sure use this data to defend him and the club will lose. They will have one hell of a time proving a little nobody with zero real reach defamed a multimillion dollar business with millions in their reach and super media and marketing resources.
How many followers does his page have ? Let's say it's 10,000 , his lawyer could argue he's only influenced 100 people . Then how many of that 100 people actually followed through and cancelled their membership ? Probably very small percentage of that . Most likley he's gotten a bunch to write a few club negitive comments to stroke his ego on his page, but not many are going to make any life changing decisions like stopping attending their ritual game days , just because some random idiot stranger decided to cuckold for the club and it backfired.
Is it really worth the damage?
I don't know what's happened but the mighty eels have been loosing a lot so bad things will be said from time to time I remember once I was watching and there was a knock on over the line by a blue and gold and I screamed "you useless f______ c___" so yeah it happens I'm not proud of it
Think we all say horrible things about the club from time to time 🤣 frustrating to support them is an understatement
