If Parramatta is serious about Grooming Daniel Mortimer as their future Halfback and play-maker and they are all too willing to throw money at the likes of the ageing Trent Barrett or Brett Kimmorley as possible mentors for our young half, In My Opinion I think we should make a serious offer to Mat Rogers from the Gold Coast.

Since coming back from Rugby Union he hasnt done to bad for himself! In the 2 and a half years since his return he has played 60 odd games and scored 200+points, and apart from his taking Luke Burts head off in rd 5 2008, he hasnt been in any trouble.

I think as an addition, he would be an asset to our side and allow some of the focus to be taken of our Jarryd, as well as providing a mentoring role for some of the younger blokes in the side, especially Young Daniel Mortimer. Age and injury with Mat Rogers shouldnt be an issue considering we were, and in some cases still are prepared to throw money at other old legs for 2011.

  • He'll be 35 next year, that means he's about 12 years past his prime.
  • no no no no no! if the GC don't resign him he'll retire, his wife has a job up there he won't be leaving the area. May even stay at GC for match payments.
