Mannah for Captain 2011?

I don't usually start a blog, and it's prob not the right time to say this but he was one of only a few players who showed any pride in tonight's loss. He is by far our best prop, could easily play 60-80mins a game and has been leading from the front all year. Is a great person off and on the field and actually shows pride for his jersey when playing. So would you be happy to see him leading the mighty Eels out next year?

  • Let's make him captain next week. We got no leadership from our captain tonight.
    • Hayne is our best player, but he's not on the front line, its the forwards who set the standard, and when your captain is running hard making metres, it sets the team in the right direction. Besides hayne has enough on his shoulders in our team. As for burt lol, that would make him the softest captain in nrl history, hows a guy on the left side gonna g up the winger on the other end, don't see the point in having the captain on the sideline.
    • Actually Rothfield might be a wanka but he wrote in todays paper that Mannah should be a player considered for origin 2, yet DA won't give him a start at Parra. Grow some balls DA!!
  • there is another contract we r going to have to upgrade
  • He's too young guys, we need to lead with experience... Mannah is awesome and a future captain for sure but we need a leader with experience and more than 2 seasons under his belt. I wouldn't consider him until 5 years in.
    • n exactly how many seasons cayless have under his?
  • Can someboday explain why the capataincy would not go to the player who has carried the team for 10 years.

    Does loyalty not mean anything.
  • Best player does not mean he is the captain!!!!! Hayne is brilliant but the guy is a solo player he sets up plays for himself not the team this is not a negative its just how the bloke is same goes with Billy Slater the bloke is a Solo player he plays by himself and backs himself Tim Mannah is a massive revelation the guy showed maturity last year way above his years and has proved this year it aint no fluke the guy is determined has no baggage and is keen as this year than he was last

the next eels captain to me is a no brainer

Tim Mannah by a country Mile!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hindy for Captain.....no more discussion.
  • Mannah would be a great captain, burt.. maybe but hard on the wing
