Ben Smith is fit to play and has held his place in the starting 13, Jeff Robson has kept the number seven jersey and Krisnan Inu is the unlucky member to miss out on the 17, but has been named on an extended bench.

Coach Daniel Anderson has stuck primarily with the players that took the side to the grand final with the exception of including his two big buys Timana Tahu and Justin Poore in the starting side. Tahu pushes Inu onto an extended interchange bench while Poore's inclusion will see Fuifui Moimoi come off the bench.

The other new buy Shane Shackleton has also made it onto the bench as has Kris Keating.

Daniel Anderson said in the Eels media statement: "“It was a difficult decision to finalise this team but I’m comfortable with what has been selected."

“I’m looking forward to seeing Justin Poore and Shane Shackleton make their debut in the blue and gold and they will be excellent additions to the team and club.”

Haha.. knew the other "official" list was crap

Fox sports just stole it from this or another site! haha You can make people believe anything these days!

Thats a much more rounded team. Robson deserves first shot at 7. Bench is VERY strong. There wont be any pressure off the other team when our starting props come off - on comes FUI!! BAM!!!

I don't know why people bother with all this bogus crap all the time. It ruins the site.

How strong is that bench!!

and conversely, despite a solid starting side, how weak is that Dragons bench?

With the exception of saffy, i've never heard of some of these guys.
