As many of you are aware I am now engaged with the media - radio in fact and I manged to convince the Staion and Program Managers to start a FOOTY SHOW on air.
This had allowed me to do several interviews (via phone) with a number of coaches and players.
Here is the guts of an interview I did with Stephen Kearney a few weeks back.
I will not post the intro and stuff but go to about the middle of the interview.
me -Steve the signing of Chris Sandow is great news for the club.
SK - Sure is Col - a definite coup and step forward for us next year.
me - Steve - what's the go with Hayne to 5/8? Is it likely to happen?
SK - Well Col this is and enteristing question. I broached it with Jairrid and his reaction was very strange.
me - How come?
SK - Well I asked him about playing the sex role for the team and he kinda went all funny on me. Started talking about Hillsong and Pasta Bry-ann and that sort of theng.
me - What's Jarryd's belief got to do with this?
SK - I'm not really sure to be honest. But Bry-ann Hewztin gave me a call the next day and I think he must have been practising his sermon - was going on about Soddom and Gamorra and how I was goin' to burn in Hell. I tried to figure out wot he was on about but when he finished yellin' and screamin' at me he hung up - so I don't know what's going on.
me - So Brian Houston is involved with Jarryd's training then?
SK - He does come down to training every now and agen but normally doesn't interfere with things.
me - So Jarryd is not likely to go to the 5/8 position?
SK - I would love to have him in the sex postion Col - he's young and teachable but I got to figure out what the problem is with his Pasta.
me - So what do you think you can do about it?
SK - This is definitely on the quiet Col but I think I can get young Roberts from the Dogs - Now don't say anything until after it's official or you will never get another interview with anyone from the Eels - EVER AGAIN.
me - No probs Steve - I will ring you to see when I am allowed to say anything. What about Roberts though?
SK - Mate he is good - loves the sex position for the team and he jumped at the chance to be the main sex for the Eels
The interview covered many other things as well but do you think I am being a bit paranoid about SK getting his message across the the players????
