Wanted to share how The Child Support agency manipulate you to pay arrears now.
I have had a shocking time with them of late, wanted to share.
Anyone had their passport frozen? Or their bank account frozen by CSA?
I had my bank account seized by them.
They got my details from the Green slip payback scheme here in NSW. When you register your bank details. It flags to them. The lady there informed me.
This whole CSA bullcrap makes you now more wary and hide accounts, money etc.
I had to explain why i travel so much. As i have a Thai wife and baby, that is my reason. They threatened that next time my passport will be seized as such.
Anyone else had bad dealings too?
Basically be very careful what details you add to your MyGov and Service NSW accounts.

Mate, get your affairs in order, CSA can only bully unprepared chumps, get ahead of it.
Did you see the guy the other day who had his accounts frozen and passport cancelled , they’d taken 50K off him only for him to end up going for a DNA test and finding out it wasn’t his kid .
DNA tests should be compulsory that is all I know. Have mate that got screwed by CSA for over 5 years but after medical condition occurred found out wasn't his child.
Funny how CSA did all in its power to get him to pay despite his ex having new bloke who is loaded and owns his own financial company while he struggled.
Now CSA wipe their hands as he fights to get money back. It is story happening all to much now.
Also my brother paid for his kids off the books giving his wife lot of cash weekly and giving his kids anything they needed for couple years as they still had good relationship after breaking up. The issue came when she met new bloke who knew the system and told her, as there were no bank transfers etc she could demand back pay and CSA would enforce it. Now he hardly sees his kids and has to fight to prove he gave money for couple years.
There are massive issues with the system but with ongoing women's rights movements and soft governments the family court and CSA will always be stacked against the dads.
Good luck EE all I can recommend is keep good records of every conversation you have with them. Get the name or employee number everytime you speak to someone at CSA. Your issue sounds less financial and just measures to screw you around however I will add if they tell you something and then go against what they told you and it cost you money or screws you over, follow up defective administration. If google it, it will take you to govt page explaining it. The govt has re-imbusement scheme that is based on moral not legal basis. Basically if you act in good faith due to information from govt employee but then get screwed because of it this is avenue to follow it up.
It is a shit system, but I have seen both sides. I'm divorced and I have had my share of issues with CSA, but my parents divorced when I was young, my father was physically abusive towards my mother and didn't pay one red cent in CS to my mother from the moment they split till I was 16, despite numerous court orders for him to do so.
Unfortunately it's men like my father who make it easy for corrupt mothers to game the system.
As the old saying goes, there is no winning in divorce, only varying degrees of losing.
