  • There is no doubt he is a phenomenon. Averages 64, which is second only to the Don. And the most unusual thing about him is the way he bats, which defies modern techniques.

Here is an interesting bit of trivia for you. He has now scored 6 ashes hundreds in England. No England player has ever scored that many in England.

  • When you take out the first dozen or so tests when he was actually selected as a bowler his average is in the 80 plus area.

  • Who is he?

    • Macaulay Culkin?

    • LOL

      • Nice Blog Snakey! No doubt he is very special.

  • He's definately special. Teams just can't find a way to get him out.

His technique is not in the cricketing books. Neither was Bradman's though.

  • Watched his whole innings last night/early this morning and his technique and mental fortitude is right outside of the ordinary. Nothing flamboyant about him, just goes on with his business and rarely faiis.

He came into this season having miseed the first 7 months due to suspension and in a few months became the number 1 scoring batsman in the world of test cricket.

FMD, a 7 months handicap given to all test cricketers and he is now starting to blow them all out of the water, and all this after being terribly knocked out in the 2nd test and not playing in the 3rd test.

FMD. Just wow, wow, wow, wowwwwwwwwww.

  • The guy is a freak, watching him plkay is not like anything you will see in world sport anywhere, he is a different charachter that's for sure but man is he good.

  • Exactly Snake. I think Smith is the best batsman we've had since Bradman. Bats outside the box. So skilled, yet eccentric and unothodox.

Didn't expect it when I first saw him play. Looked awkward at first.

I must admit I was a huge fan of the Great West Indian top 3. Greenidge, Hayne, and Viv.

Viv Richards is one of my all time favourite batsman. He was the gum-chewing King Of The Jungle. Never even wore a helmet. Oozed confidence, skill and domination.

They struggle defensively when anyone runs a hard line close to the tryline. They can't handle an attack that's direct. The bohemoth that is Cade Cust gave…"

Pearce did a number on us last year and I have a feeling he is priming himself for a big one. It's been a long hard month and the boys might be feeling a bit jaded.

How bad are the Cowboys?

It seems all teams north of the border are struggling big time. However, the Cowboys are terrible! Good opportunity to beat the Rorting Roosters and they blow it with diabolical defence and attack. So much for their big name players. I reckon Paul…
