What are our go to beers?

Who doesn't like a beer on game day at home with feet up, especially during Cricket season in the summer. Though being around boys a lot i have seen a lot of beer being thrown around and drank, including myself who loves trying new, different beer. But i need to know what is everyone's go to? If not beer what else? Wine? Whiskey? Bourbon? Moonshine?

For me it is whatever beer is around, but my fav has to be Toohey's New, which is a very unpopular opinion. When going to a mates places they have Great Northern mostly, to me it is a beer that is really overrated. Not saying it is bad, but it is not as good as what people let on, that and Carlton Dry are two beers where people i know only drink that and that only or they don't drink at all. Each to their own of course, i'd drink those beers if offered and no other options but there are some that i would pick instead if given the chance.

Also, depending on how we are going, a scotch goes down well to drown some sorrows.

  • Asahi, Tooheys Heineken

    Worst beer ever  - VB

    • See i do not mind VB, Heineken is one beer never been fond of Chief, do not know why, i get in Chrisco beers of the world and one of the last ones i touch.

Asahi however is a nice drop. Quite underrated, though is gaining popularity.

      • Asahi on tap , from an Asahi glass is almost unbeatable. The glass is manufactured to complement the beer. A decent bar will always serve Asahi in the correct glass.

        • Who serves ashai on tap mate?

    • chief we finally agree on something - VB is cats piss in a can.

      • Or bottle Rock, or tap.

        • most who love vb drink it out of a can don't they....warm cats piss!!!!

          • Vb use to be good 20 years ago now rubbish

    • VB > Vomit Beer or Vaginal Backwash

  • Great Northern, 50 Lashes, Guiness. Kraken spiced rum

"Muttman, spot on with effort wins. Its not sustainable and you get found out. Talent and effort wins comps neither one on its own can win a comp. We need both and then so much more to go right."

"Bell is a gun. We need to resign D Walker for another 2 years so till the end of 2028. So 2029, Bell will be 20 years old. Good chance he will be pressing for the 14 spot to take Walker's spot. He can cover 9 well too."

Absolutely agree, & there is a real lack of evidence here.

"Chief, maybe just maybe Russell and his management saw that Perth are coming into the market and wanted to test the market? It goes both ways. Yes we want to sign a player but they need to want to sign as well. As soon as the deal of $650k comes up…"

"Did we let him walk or was it didn't want to match the money he had received. Tell me this now, would Russell receive $650k from any of the other 15 clubs in the market? The only Centre's who fit that value are Crichton, Farnworth and Staggs.
But it…"

"Poupou, can you explain how Dylan Brown in early 2025 was "off contract"?
Brown had a contract with the Eels until end of 2031, with I believe two player options. The first permitting him to leave at end of 2025 IF he notified the club by Round 10…"
