What are our go to beers?

Who doesn't like a beer on game day at home with feet up, especially during Cricket season in the summer. Though being around boys a lot i have seen a lot of beer being thrown around and drank, including myself who loves trying new, different beer. But i need to know what is everyone's go to? If not beer what else? Wine? Whiskey? Bourbon? Moonshine?

For me it is whatever beer is around, but my fav has to be Toohey's New, which is a very unpopular opinion. When going to a mates places they have Great Northern mostly, to me it is a beer that is really overrated. Not saying it is bad, but it is not as good as what people let on, that and Carlton Dry are two beers where people i know only drink that and that only or they don't drink at all. Each to their own of course, i'd drink those beers if offered and no other options but there are some that i would pick instead if given the chance.

Also, depending on how we are going, a scotch goes down well to drown some sorrows.

  • Asahi, Tooheys Heineken

    Worst beer ever  - VB

    • See i do not mind VB, Heineken is one beer never been fond of Chief, do not know why, i get in Chrisco beers of the world and one of the last ones i touch.

Asahi however is a nice drop. Quite underrated, though is gaining popularity.

      • Asahi on tap , from an Asahi glass is almost unbeatable. The glass is manufactured to complement the beer. A decent bar will always serve Asahi in the correct glass.

        • Who serves ashai on tap mate?

    • chief we finally agree on something - VB is cats piss in a can.

      • Or bottle Rock, or tap.

        • most who love vb drink it out of a can don't they....warm cats piss!!!!

          • Vb use to be good 20 years ago now rubbish

    • VB > Vomit Beer or Vaginal Backwash

  • Great Northern, 50 Lashes, Guiness. Kraken spiced rum

"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."
