  • "Cattledog".  RIP

  • One of the greatest characters the game has ever had and a  champion of a man . RIP Tommy .

  • A passionate Rugby League identity who left a lot to those who lived through his career. Too young to go at 71

  • RIP Tommy, the worlds down a good man today.

  • RIP Tommy. A great character of the game.

  • I remember around 1977/78 Parts were to play Western Suburbs. Caroline Jones had a small segment on Rugby League on the ABC on Friday mornings, and she interviewed Graham Murray and another Parts player ( I can't remember who it was.

Caroline suggested to GM that Tommy was pretty tough and asked if he was concerned.  GM joked and said something like, "gee I hope he dosen't hurt me".

Well - Tommy belted GM from pillar to post that game.

"Reality bites hard. No one knows more about losing stars than the Panthers. You wouldn't describe Matt Cameron as a useless dope, because he couldn't convince this galaxy of stars to stay or because he follows Ivan Cleary's footy strategies.

"Hypothetical. Our wives or husbands tell us, "I want to explore a few sugar daddies over the next few years, or indefinitely". Which is strength of character: begging them to stay, hypnosis or drawing a line in the sand, letting them go?

No club  ties, no opportunities but we should not zero him out"
