  • RIP- one things for sure he would've put up a brave fight.

Such a huge hearted player and character to match.

  • "Cattledog".  RIP

  • A passionate Rugby League identity who left a lot to those who lived through his career. Too young to go at 71

    • If ever there was a definition of a "westie" Tommy does it. Great innings Tommy, well played RIP.

  • RIP Tommy, the worlds down a good man today.

  • RIP Tommy. A great character of the game.

  • I remember around 1977/78 Parts were to play Western Suburbs. Caroline Jones had a small segment on Rugby League on the ABC on Friday mornings, and she interviewed Graham Murray and another Parts player ( I can't remember who it was.

Caroline suggested to GM that Tommy was pretty tough and asked if he was concerned.  GM joked and said something like, "gee I hope he dosen't hurt me".

Well - Tommy belted GM from pillar to post that game.

  • I remember around 1977/78 Parra were to play Western Suburbs. Caroline Jones had a small segment on Rugby League on the ABC on Friday mornings. She interviewed Graham Murray and another Parra player about the upcoming game.

"Coryn, thanks for sharing your insights.
I'm all aboard the "urgent athlete" if they are the right fit and "fight for the badge" even if they might be overs.

"I agree most wingers have a preferred side and are usually better there. My point is that doesn't automatically mean Jenkins wouldn't sign. Penrith train their outside backs to play both sides and Jenkins has played right wing before. If Parra…"

"Archie, thanks for your kind words mate.
I agree. We need both.
Admitedly, Mason's passion is admirable: the whole "die for the club" ethos. Players who will run through walls. Gibson's core of 6 or so tough nuts. That's harder to find than it…"

"Captain and Bluey, thanks for sharing.
The only downside to being aboard that train is some false advertisement for the passangers e.g. Lorenzo being available Nov 1st.
I'll leave it at that as Bluey said he had the withdrawal shakes yesterday."

"Badger,
On Su'a.
Yep, probably overs. Market realities. He's probably attracted TPAs too. But I seriously doubt it would be anywhere near Keaon who would be up there as one of the highest paid in the game.
The thing is with the overheated market you…"

"For Suli? Yeah I don't think so. Is that to make them feel better about a possible signing? We have Su'A doubt we go for another edge."

"Yeah he's been so good at 6 that both Dolphins and Dogs barely played him there despite numerous chances."

"Nearly $700k for Averillo? Mental. He's a fine player but that's Origin level money at Centre. I would rather Averillo as well but not at 6 and not on that money."
