Hi Tad . I watched this SBS Croation movie through your link. Yes it's intriguing however I could not work out why the young man wanted desperately to work with the older man up the hill building the church and why he tried to be do nice to his boss even though the elder man was so rude to him ? Did I miss something ? Was it too do with (?Marik ) the son of the elder man being bashed to death 12 years earlier?

Oh so that young mans father was ?Turo or whatever he his name was ( being one of those soldiers who killed the guy on the town square ? ). That explains it then . I did not pick that up . So most characters were somewhat connected to that vicious incident 12 years before . Thanks very much mate .A very enjoyable story then even with subtitles . Scenery with mountain background is quite spectacular.
