The Way of the Water....latest AVATAR Film

I went to see this last night and I was a little concerned that Chiefy ......our resident expert on everything said it was a snorefest!

Well Chiefy showed all his reliability by again being proved totally wrong.

This is a magnificent peice of film making by James Cameron and the rave review and 93% acceptance on 'rotten tomatoes' was borne out.

I personally rated the first film as the best science fiction I had seen (and I am a Star Trek and Star Wars nut, not so much the Marvel stuff).

This film the "way of the water" actually exceeds the first film......all I can say is that I highly recommend anyone to see it and if you do, comment hereunder and give me your thoughts.

I believe the "filmography" alone is worth seeing and the story is good and the action hardly ever stops.....not an actors movie, but all are competent and of course we have an Australian in Sam Worthington in the lead role.

WOW

  • What's a 'peice'....... you clearly have no idea about anything.

    • Interesting reply JB, you know nothing about football and obviously don't see the games.

You comment on a film and unquestionably haven't seen it.....is there a pattern here I am detecting, you poor little delusional pathetic being......could be the "tautology" of the year poor,delusional,pathetic!.......its up there!

      What's a 'peice"

a written, musical, or artistic creation.
      "a haunting piece of music"
      • Is that really the best you've got old boy?

        • It would seem that my best would be wasted on you .....JB

Reminds me of a story of Bill Lawry facing Freddie Truman in his first match of the 1959 English Tour.

Three times Truman beat Lawry and each time Lawry aknowledged "good ball, well bowled Mr Truman".

The fourth ball Truman clean bowled him "Lawry dutifuly aknowledged good ball well bowled as he started to trudge off, Truman replied before he left the crease "I lad, its a shame I had to waste it on you".

          True Story!!

          • Haha.

I wish you and your family a safe and Merry Christmas Poppa.

I know you haven't been nice this year but I have spoke to Santa and told him to give you some presents anyways lol.

            • JB I am happy to welcome you as a Parra supporter at any time in the future, just show me for a change that you are.....as that great Australian Vocalist once said....."why are people so cruel" now why your sitting on Santa's lap JB, ask him that question and he will probably say " that bloody Poppa, when will he become compliant like the rest of my Elves!" Just remember us Unicorns stick together.

Ploppa its all to obvious that in your current state of viagra overload, any film involving half naked aliens would get the old man ecstatic. Your other half Marcia told me that she'd left the theater at halftime as the toothpicks you installed to keep her eyelids open could stand up to the snoresome force of the 3 hrs of nonsense.

Anyways I'd like to wish yourself and Marcia all the best in the new year.  Ps. Please get the doc to alter your virility pill intake 😁😁😁

    • Thanks Chiefy,

I passed that on to Marcia, she did leave at half time, she got really excited by all the tall blue men you saw, who she thought must of all been on viagra....reality then set in and she came back and settled with the little blue poppa smurf sitting next to her in "gold class".....LOL

  • I can't agree Pops. Saw it last night with my kids only because they were keen. I'm a science fiction fan but it needs to be grounded in some kind of reality. What's realistic about a planet full of tall blue people who's culture happens to closely resemble Indigenous North American and, in this movie, pacific island peoples? With talking  whales this time!

The movie was James Cameron having a wank onto celluloid. Decent action sequences though I'll give it that

    • 100% correct imo Michael.  They had the leader alien of the water people all tattooed up like he'd just jumped out of a wrestling ring with the rock, and even his pet whale had Pacifica looking ink all over his torso and head lol, how original haha. This was hilarious lol.

Anyway the whole storyline of humans attacking aliens, and the aliens of course winning seemingly dragged on forever.

The best part was when the aussie tug boat captain had his arm chopped off by a whale lassoing his tug boat. Some of his one aussie slang one liners have to be seen to be believed totally hilarious stuff plopp.
