First of all , I’ve missed any threads on this topic so I’m hoping all of  our members are safe and not directly effected by these fires ? I know we have a few scattered around some of the bad areas . How are you Grunta , Tad , and Monster ?  (I know there are many more but these guys came to mind as I frequent their areas )

I must say , you really have to feel sorry for the residents on Nimbin today who’re understandably very upset with the government for not ensuring the local National Parks wern’t cleared and Hazard reduction burnt off during winter  . I’ve just watched a clip where they’re rallying around a few of their voted representatives asking why they’ve lost their homes and squaring the blame on the government  .  I’m sure these Nimbin locals would’ve welcomed with open arms the Libs directing the Greens and Indigenous Park management teams to step aside whilst they cleared a few thousand hectares around town . Surely you should be able to live in peace amongst the bush and rest knowing the government have full access to said bush to ensure it’s safely cleared and maintained to a safe environment.

Hopefully when all the dust settles the residents of Nimbin get their wish and them teamed with ScoMo can access and asses the National Park without any pushback from the local parks management .
