Random Thoughts

You come from dust and to dust you will return. That's why you shouldn't dust. It could be someone you know.

When one door closes and another door opens, you're probably in prison.

If you answer your phone with "Hello. You're on the air.", most telemarketers will quickly hang up.

Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life from nowhere. It makes your heart race and changes you forever.  We call these people cops.

For Sale . Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

They say marriages are made in Heaven. Then again, so is lightning and thunder.

Maybe the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of Charades.

This "killing them with kindness" is taking way longer than I expected.

I started out with nothing. I still have most of it.

There's nothing scarier than that split second when you lose your balance in the shower and think "Oh No. They're gonna find me naked.”

One minute you're young and fun. And the next you're turning down the stereo in your car so you can see better.

One day you'll be able to tell your grandkids that you survived the GTPS 2020 (Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020).

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your pocket.

Never miss a good chance to shut up.

And finally - Can we all agree that in 2015 not a single person got the answer correct to the question, "Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?"

  • Why is it that women turn into bitches as they get older? Hormones or progression.

    • It's because when they are asleep they dream they are awake and when they are awake they think they are a sleep and if  you say hey are you awake they say  piss off you prick that's why you think they turn into a bitch

        • I was going to give up on this blog Sir Col as maybe it's run its course. It sounds like we are all focused on the irritants in our daily lives which have really been opened up by what is happening in the world on a massive scale. Wounds in all areas of commercial,, Social, Political, and general personal family structures have been challenged  by the virus and opened up in a big way  the insecurities in the systems we live in.. We are luckier in Aus than most which seem to be snowballing into an even bigger disaster all around the world.  I think we need to put all of that into the way we are feeling emotionally about irritants which we managed quite well before but are struggling to cope with them now.I think a lot are very fragile now and the only way can manage this is to do little things which give us some distractions that have worked for us before. We are basically composed of a mix of the physical, mental, and spiritual which makes us who we are. Probably more attention to the physical rather than the mental is the way to go.For some the spiritual can help as well. We still have a long way to go

          • Aaah, the Daily Irritant - that's a Murdoch paper isn't it?

          • One problem - THAT reply is not from me Tad.

      • Poppa I used to do systems for years quite a while ago now---hmmmm so so with success. As you know I now only bet Melbourne cup. I just look at odds 7/1, 12/1 of 17/1 depending on field size. I will probably look at trifectas with that type of mix.I think Alan Hunt seems to quite well.I will be interested in what you guys put up..I think the Cox plate is on today--hope you build a nice bank for next week
