  • Nice one Slip.

I'll keep an eye on your forum.

I've been listening to a bit of Jello Biafra and the Melvins, great stuff. Also Bedtime for Democracy by Dead Kennedy's on vinyl.

I also regularly listen to LARD, starring Jello. 'Mangoat'...what a song!

    • Hi Grunta,

I've heard of Dead Kennedy's, but not the others.

This morning I was listening to Slayer's debut album, Show No Mercy. 80's music was the best.

      • Awesome album. Unique as well.

        • Jello Biafra was Dead Kennedy's lead singer. Smart man who does speaking tours.

If you haven't gotten into Dead Kennedy's, have a listen to Holiday in Cambodia.

I took my 3 daughters to a Queens of the Stoneage concert, outdoors in Brissy a couple of years ago. Man they put on a great show. It was all ages, but my kids were the only kids there. They were very impressed.

Take a listen to Drug Sniffing Dog by LARD. I reckon you'll love it mate.

  •  Well done Slip. Us old farts need to start listening to some of the newer bands out there.I have been on a Scandinavian odyssey lately.Spotify plays a song I like, I look up the youtube video, and it is  usually a drop dead gorgeous girl with amazing vocals, and legs. My new favourite/s are from Finlans,a pop/ABBA/classical band ,Amberian Dawn, and an awfully named Battle Beast.Amazing catcy songs and their singer is the daughter of  Dio/Dickinson and Halford.

From Canada try Kobra and the Lotus, and Unleash The Archers.

  • Totally different sort of music but I've just discovered Chris Cornell

soundgarden through the late 90s but he's acoustic covers are unbelievable

not so much into the heavy stuff these days

"Kikau did come from Cowboys before he made a name for himself. Api was let go by Gould from Panthers at Ivan's last stint.  Manly didn't want him and Cleary was happy to have Api return. Sorensen and Capewell were unwanted at Sharks. Both careers…"

"RCG will be a huge loss for us but on a brighter note we will be able to use some of his money to upgrade Niukore, Papalii and Mahoney for 2023 and beyond, these are all young players and the future of our club. "

"Would hate for this to happen as RCG is one of my favourite players. I wanted him at Parra for ages and was ecstatic when we signed him.
He would be a massive loss for us.
In saying that, Rodwell looks to be he closest thing we have to RCG. If he…"

To be honest I don't have a place for him in my 17 or probably even 20."

"Yeah I agree with you there, I don't see Kaufusi as a RCG replacement. That said, Makatoa, Rodwell and Greig have shown glimpses and they need a really solid pre-season to get a lot fitter. The thing a lot of people are missing in all this is the…"

"I would have liked Peachey too, but his problem is he is too versatile, yes a perfect 14, but is that what he really wants to play? And how much do you pay someone like that, I don't know what he got, but probably more than we were comfortable with…"

"Be a financial thing. Good opportunity to get a big payday for what could be one of his last contracts with the dolphins in an area with cheaper housing. Alternatively could get a bit more out of Parra. "

"I have mixed feelings on this one RCG is probably our most expensive forward and also our most important one so to loose him will hurt.
That being said that money freed up will give us the chance to secure other players "

"You need a mix of established stars and promising juniors.
AFB is an established dominant forward.
Hollis/Rodwell/Greig/Kaufusi can still be bench forwards doing their apprenticeship even if we buy AFB."
