Nice one Slip.
I'll keep an eye on your forum.
I've been listening to a bit of Jello Biafra and the Melvins, great stuff. Also Bedtime for Democracy by Dead Kennedy's on vinyl.
I also regularly listen to LARD, starring Jello. 'Mangoat'...what a song!
Hi Grunta,
I've heard of Dead Kennedy's, but not the others.
This morning I was listening to Slayer's debut album, Show No Mercy. 80's music was the best.
Awesome album. Unique as well.
Jello Biafra was Dead Kennedy's lead singer. Smart man who does speaking tours.
If you haven't gotten into Dead Kennedy's, have a listen to Holiday in Cambodia.
I took my 3 daughters to a Queens of the Stoneage concert, outdoors in Brissy a couple of years ago. Man they put on a great show. It was all ages, but my kids were the only kids there. They were very impressed.
Take a listen to Drug Sniffing Dog by LARD. I reckon you'll love it mate.
Well done Slip. Us old farts need to start listening to some of the newer bands out there.I have been on a Scandinavian odyssey lately.Spotify plays a song I like, I look up the youtube video, and it is usually a drop dead gorgeous girl with amazing vocals, and legs. My new favourite/s are from Finlans,a pop/ABBA/classical band ,Amberian Dawn, and an awfully named Battle Beast.Amazing catcy songs and their singer is the daughter of Dio/Dickinson and Halford.
From Canada try Kobra and the Lotus, and Unleash The Archers.
Totally different sort of music but I've just discovered Chris Cornell
soundgarden through the late 90s but he's acoustic covers are unbelievable
not so much into the heavy stuff these days
